Huntington Park Reflection
The trip to Huntington Park really helped my to understand about the plants and their habitat. The first part of the park that we visited was the desert, we saw many plants that are commonly found in the desert. Those plants that are found in the desert are required to have adaptations that conserve water and need to be able to deal with the high temperature. What was even more interesting was that we saw lizards of different sizes throughout the walk, the lizard is a representative animal of the desert and is very well adapted to its environment. The main plant that we saw was the cactus which is also very well adapted because it can conserve water and protect itself (with spines) against potential predators for the water resource. We then walked throughout the park visiting different places and observing their representative plants. What I was most interested in was the Japanese and Chinese houses which greatly reflect how people back then lived.
